A rising star in Belgian fashion, Priscillia Di Tarsia studied fashion design at the Institut Saint-Luc in Tournai and then worked as a stagiaire for Ken Okada and Chyckoyan in Paris.
She worked with Eric Bergère on his fashion parades at the Carrousel du Louvre, and is currently working on the latest collection from Newman in the South of France.
Priscillia Di Tarsia is particularly interested in “noble” materials with old-fashioned connotations. “My main sources of inspiration are Italy, my native country, and my nostalgic side. I love wallowing in my own memories.”
The minutiae of past times, for example old family photo albums or franked envelopes, fascinate and inspire her. She re-writes these stories when she frays, dyes and embroiders cloth to make it appear precious.
