 Singer

Viktor Lazlo is the stage name of Sonia Dronier, who was born in 1960 in Lorient, France. Her father is from Martinique and her mother from Grenada. She took her stage name from the resistance hero character played by Paul Heinreid in the classic film Casablanca. She was spotted by the Belgian producer Lou Deprijck, and released her first album Canöe Rose (English title: She) in 1985. She has since released 9 albums and 4 compilation albums and has enjoyed more popularity in her adopted Belgium than in her native France. Her biggest international hit was Breathless in 1987, when she also hosted the Eurovision Song Contest in Brussels.
