Indeed, flat Belgium is only restricted to the Flemish region, the nothern half of the country. Wallonia, on the other hand, is characterised by hilly landscapes, plunging valleys, primal Ardennes forests, which, in the ancient times, sheltered great war lords (Ambiorix, Charles the Main, Charles the Hammer, Godefrey of Bouillon…) and hunters (St Hubert originates from the Ardennes forest), druids, preachers and fairies.
